Is Organic Food Healthier than Non-Organic?

Scientists put a family on an organic diet for two weeks and take their urine sample before and after the experiment. Urine sample before organic diet was contaminated with a number of insecticides, fungicides and other dangerous chemicals. After the 2-week period of eating a clean and organic food, almost all traces of chemicals were eliminated from their urine sample.

Before and after the experiment shows a shocking truth.

This should be a common sense that eating a clean whole food diet is very healthy but unfortunately we are so disconnected from nature that we need proof to eat healthy. Some sceptics believe organic eating is a trend but this scientific experiment is a powerful reminder that eating whole food and organic is fundamental for health. Eating processed food filled with chemicals such as pesticides disrupt the GUT microbiome. Microbiome is a collection of microorganisms living in and on the human body and we need a balance microbiome. Processed foods do many destructive things in the body including decreasing the good bacterias and increase bad ones in the gut. This is one of the main reasons many people have digestive disorders these days. As the famous Greek physician Hippocrates said "the root cause of all diseases is in the gut", and healing the gut affects everything in the body.

If buying organic is expensive for you at this moment, you have several options. One is to avoid a list of foods that are heavily sprays with chemicals. It is called dirty dozen list which includes (Strawberries, Spinach, Kale, Nectarines, Apples, Grapes, Peaches, Cherries, Pears, Tomatoes, Celery, Potatoes, Hot Peppers). And buy clean 15 food list that are less contaminated (Avocados, Sweet Corn, Pineapples, Sweet Peas Frozen, Onions, Papayas, Eggplants, Asparagus, Kiwis, Cabbages, Cauliflower, Cantaloupes, Broccoli, Mushrooms, Honeydew Melons). Another option would be to eat less but highest quality foods. We eat a lot of calories that are not nutritious and by eating less we reduce the pressure on our digestive system.

In conclusion, eating organically grown local whole-food is scientifically proven as the best choice.
